“Small restaurant, small menu, but you can close your eyes and pick anything on the menu and will be blown away…” Mike W.

Vann (pronounced “von” and Norwegian for ‘water’)is located on Lake Minnetonka in Spring Park, MN. Local chef, Erik Skaar returned to the western suburbs of Minneapolis after perfecting his cooking skills in some of the country’s best kitchens. The name pays homage to Erik’s Norwegian roots and his love of fish, seafood and water fowl.

The food. The food at Vann is described as “delectable”, “phenomenal”, and “fresh and exciting”.

The menu. Because ingredients are fresh daily, so is the menu. By design, offerings are limited to a single page—typically 3 starters/small plates, 3 entrees and 2 desserts. This allows Skaar and his team to properly prepare each item.

The dining room. The bright, modern, polished-casual dining room has a Scandinavian sensibility and views of Lake Minnetonka from every table.

The service. The intimate space holds only 48 seats to ensure guests are treated to the type of white tablecloth service traditionally reserved for fine dining.
